TRAVELLING BY CAR: Dorset Innovation Park is accessed via the Burton Cross Roundabout (A352). Once past the gatehouse, take the third exit at the roundabout and the carpark is on the left in front of the Defence BattleLab. The park is not accessible via Gatemore Road.

TRAVELLING BY TRAIN: A regular rail service operates between Wool Train Station and London Waterloo. Wool Train Station is a five-minute drive/ 10-minute cycle/ 40-minute walk from Dorset Innovation Park. Local pre-booked taxi services are available from the station, as well as the local Beryl bike hire scheme.

Access to Dorset Innovation Park is managed by a third party, who require you to bring photographic ID. Only visitors named on the registration form will be permitted onto the park.

When you arrive at the Defence BattleLab, you will be required to sign in at the front desk and will be issued with a visitor pass. This must be returned to the front desk on leaving the BattleLab.

There are a number of hotels and B&Bs within 30 minutes of Dorset Innovation Park. We recommend the following local options:

  1. The Countryman Inn, East Knighton:
    A welcoming and cosy country inn located six minutes away from Dorset Innovation Park. To receive preferential rates of £85 per night please book direct and quote 'Battlelab'.
  2. Little Court, Dorchester:
    An Edwardian country house located 25 minutes away from Dorset Innovation Park. To receive preferential rates of £99 per night please book direct and quote 'BattleLab'.

     Kingston Country Courtyard is a 16th-century B&B accommodation located located 25 minutes away from Dorset Innovation Park. To receive preferential rates of £89 per night please book direct and quote 'BattleLab'.
  4. Premier Inn, Dorchester:
    Located in the heart of Thomas Hardy country, the Premier Inn Hotel Dorchester is situated in the historic town’s new Brewery Square development, 25 minutes drive from Dorset Innovation Park.
